Cameras, Lights, Edit Software, Microphones…. What’s the best of the cheapest? Technology is always making something better and cheaper literally within the time you take it off the shelf and bring it to the cashier there is a new product that is better and cheaper… but sooner or later, if you’re doing anything other than a major studio feature film, you will probably purchase some equipment and call yourself a “production Company”.
VIDEOMAKER is one of the leading magazines for the Video Industry and especially for the Consumer and Prosumer Video world…and, once a year, obviously January, they come out with an issue where the state THE BEST OF and give an in-depth article to outline, describe and price the product.
Here are VIDEOMAKER’S picks.

Remember, if all you desire to do is make a feature film and be part of the studio system then I do not advise to buy any equipment….For whenever, you really have the money to shoot (1-3 week shoot) you will then be cost-effective by renting the best of the cheapest equipment that is on the market that week…and I advise to not buy.
However, if you intend on making commercials, and shooting videos everyday/every week or making wedding videos (which is a great-great business to get into) then I would highly advise looking at the above items presented by VideoMaker Magazine as the “Best of 2012”
